Attention 8th grade parents! Important dates for planning your child's enrollment in high school. There is a mandatory parent meeting TONIGHT about your child's 4-year graduation plan. This meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose building at the high school to explain state and local requirements for graduation as well as the course selection process and 4-year graduation plans. Your child will tour the high school CTE courses on Friday, January 27th to have a better understanding of their choices for next year. Friday, February 17th, 8th grade students and parents are required to meet one-on-one with high school counselors following student led conferences to write 4-year graduation plans and select courses for their freshman year. Watch for more information about student conferences.

The National Junior Honors Society students helped sort and distribute toys and food to the community this week in partnership with Caring and Sharing. We are so proud of our students and their commitment to serve in their community.

Students are invited to help us celebrate the season by dressing up in holiday attire the last week before the Christmas break: Monday 12/12 - Wear a Christmas hat!, Tuesday 12/13 - Wear any holiday shirt, Wednesday 12/14 - Dress like an Elf!, Thursday 12/15 - Wear an ugly Christmas sweater, and Friday 12/16 - Wear any holiday shirt!
Hello Families! We have a very large box of lost and found items. If your child is missing a jacket or other clothing item, there is a good chance it is at school. Please ask your child to check the Lost and Found box in the cafeteria. You are also welcome to come and look through the items. Please check in with the office staff.

Our incentive field trips for qualifying students will be next Wednesday, 12/7 and Thursday, 12/8. If your student qualifies to go on the trip, they will be bringing a permission slip home soon to attend iJump and CiCi's pizza. The school will cover the cost of iJump and students must bring $7.50 for CiCi's or bring a sack lunch. If your student is scheduled to go on Wednesday and they are competing in the UIL competition that day, they will be rescheduled to go on Thursday.
