As we settle into the new school year, we are working to establish strong routines and expectations for all of our students. Beginning Thursday, September 3rd, parents are welcome to join their students for lunch on Thursdays. Parent food drop-offs will also be available on Thursdays. Thank you for helping us create a smooth start to the year and for partnering with us as we build a positive, focused school environment for our students!
Our pep rallies are moving to the end of the school day from 3:10–3:35! This gives us a chance to finish each day by celebrating our Jackets and building school spirit together. Mark your calendars and show your Jacket pride by participating in each dress-up day!

What an incredible day at our 6th Grade Experience!
We loved welcoming our incoming Yellow Jackets and watching them learn the campus, meet teachers, practice opening lockers, and begin building connections before the first day of school. A huge thank you to our staff, students, and parents for helping make the event such a success. We are excited for an outstanding year ahead and can't wait to see this class continue to grow at Mineola Middle School!

During the rotations, students will meet their teachers, learn their lockers, become familiar with the campus, and discover what it means to be a Mineola Middle School Yellow Jacket.

* On Tuesday, our 8th graders will be taking a photo with a few other grade levels across the district to recognize the 250th birthday of our country. Mr. Mize has requested that our 8th-grade students wear a white (or mostly white) top for the picture.
* Remember, if you come to the awards ceremony, you need to have a photo ID to check in.
* Due to the new half-day schedule, lunch will not be open for deliveries or visitors on Thursday.
* Yearbook signing will take place on Thursday at 10!

The Mineola Education Foundation is hosting a Family Bingo Blitz Saturday, June 6th at the Middle School Cafeteria at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $25 each or $240 for a reserved table for 8. Prizes include headphones, movie tickets, tablets, and more! Come on out and join in the fun!
