Participation is completely voluntary. Attendance is not required, and the event is organized and led by students. We encourage families to talk with their children about whether they’d like to attend.

Mrs. Baker's STEM & Robotics classes participated in the Marshmallow Tower Challenge where each team was challenged to build a tower taller than the competition that would support a marshmallow. The teams had to accomplish the goal using only 20 sticks of spaghetti, 1 yard of string, and 1 yard of tape. The classes learned that triangles were excellent shapes for building and that it was much easier to accomplish the goal when they worked together as a team!

This week at MMS we will celebrate "It starts with Hello!" It only takes a “hello” to change someone’s day. 💚 We’re proud to support Sandy Hook Promise’s Start With Hello initiative to end social isolation and build a culture of kindness. We will have designated dress up days to support a different theme each day!

Good morning! Today is our first pep rally! Our pep rally is at 12:10 and combined lunch is at 12:40. You are welcome to attend the pep rally! Be sure to bring your drivers license to check in. Check in will begin at 11:45. Please call the office if you have any questions!

School picture day is tomorrow, Thursday, September 4! Can't wait to see those smiles!

Whether your ready to gear up for football season or just want a hoodie to stay warm (and show school spirit), we have got you covered!!! Please bring your order form with exact cash or check to the office no later than September 1st to get all spirited up!!! ( Students will be bringing order forms home this week! They can also be located in the front office.)

Starting in the month of September-Parents are invited to lunch on Thursdays instead of Fridays. This is also the day you can bring outside food in for lunch. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will be closed lunch with no outside food drop offs. Thank you for your understanding!!!

To clarify - Schedules will be available for pick up tonight in the middle school gym. If your schedule is not there, it may be due to incomplete registration. This can be resolved in our offices tomorrow morning. Thank you!

We cannot wait to see everyone at meet the teacher tonight at 5:30! You will need to sign in and pick up your schedule in the gym before entering the main hallway. Please be aware that the front office will be closed during this event. If you do not get your schedule tonight due to incomplete registration the office will be open Wednesday morning at 8 am. Thank you so much!

*7th grade parents* We still have around 90 students who are missing shot records. Please send those to Nurse Singleton at singletonc@mineolaisd.net or bring them to the front office. The sooner the better!!

Just a reminder about Meet the Teacher tomorrow night, Come and Go, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Your student's teachers are ready for school and can't wait to meet the students!
