One final update before bed tonight. Our team will be driving bus routes early in the morning checking the status of roads throughout the District. According to the current forecast, it looks like a cold, steady rain is in the forecast for tomorrow with conditions worsening over night into Wednesday morning.
Forecasts certainly change, so please make sure you have a plan in place over the next couple of days with the potential for delayed starts, early releases, or cancellation of school. We will always keep your child's safety and the safety of our Faculty and Staff at the front of every decision.

District officials are continuing to monitor road conditions due to the anticipated Winter weather. At this time, conditions in Mineola ISD are fine. This could certainly change in the overnight hours. The Mineola ISD District Improvement Committee will host a meeting on Wednesday, January 25th at 3:45 p.m. in the Mineola ISD Administration Building. This meeting is open to the public.
Tonight is First Responder’s Night! Come out and enjoy the game as two old time rivals meet on the court in District play.
All District and Campus Offices will be closed on Monday, January 16th, 2023 in honor and remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Texas Academic Performance Report was recently released across the state of Texas and Mineola ISD received an “A Rating”. The District is one of 38 Districts in the Region 7 Service Center to receive an “A”.
Did you know that our District scored above the Regional and State Averages on 19 of the 20 STAAR and EOC tests administered by the state?
The FIRST Rating also recently came out, which measures financial accountability among school districts in the state and we received an “A Rating” on this report as well.
We are so proud of our faculty, staff, students, parents, and community for this tremendous honor!

Here is a sneak peek behind the scenes of the new Mineola Primary School. We appreciate Thompson Architectural Group and our team of consultants working hard to finalize design plans.
The construction project will be posted for bid in mid-February, with site construction starting as early as late March of 2023.

A very special thank you to our friend Ray Barron and his team at Freedom Defense Training/Consulting for continuing to work alongside the Mineola ISD Police Department and other staff members as they continue to train to keep our students and staff members safe in the event of an active shooter situation.

The Mineola High School Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy and several Faculty and Staff Members will assist The Wood County Marine Corps League and others in placing wreaths on veteran’s graves tomorrow morning at Roselawn Cemetery. A brief ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Just a reminder that on Friday, December 16th, car riders will be released at 12:00 noon and buses will run at 12:20 p.m..
