Just a reminder that the October Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees will be tonight starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Primary/Middle School Cafeteria. The Board will meet in Executive Session from 6:05 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by the open meeting. The meeting is open to the public. Please wear a face covering and practice social distancing. The meeting will also be available on the Mineola ISD Facebook LIVE.
Also, the Sound of the Swarm will be performing their UIL show for FREE to the public at 8:00 p.m. at Meredith Memorial Stadium. Please come out and support our State Champion Band as contest season enters full swing.

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
In keeping with Mineola ISD's practices of response to COVID-19, we are notifying our school community that an employee at Mineola ISD has received a lab-confirmed positive test for COVID-19. Our employee is home recovering and working remotely. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of this person.
We also wanted to provide notification that two (2) students at Mineola High School and two (2) students at Mineola Elementary School have received lab-confirmed positive tests for COVID-19 as well. All students are at home and recovering. We were notified of each of these cases late Friday, October October 16th and into the day on Saturday, October 17th. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the names of these students.
To this date, the case count involving Mineola ISD Employees and Students are as follows:
9 Positive Employee Cases- 8 Recovered, 1 Active
11 Positive Student Cases- 7 Recovered, 4 Active

Tickets are now available for this Friday night's home football game against Pottsboro for our student participant parents and guardians. Each student is limited to two tickets. General admission ticket sales will be available Wednesday-Friday. This week's game will be broadcast on the Yellowjacket Network.

Monday-Tuesday: Tickets available for purchase for student participants. Each participant is allotted two tickets for purchase.

We also wanted to provide notification that a student at Mineola High School has received a lab-confirmed positive test for COVID-19 as well. The student is at home and recovering. We were notified of this lab-confirmed positive test late in the afternoon on Monday, October 5th, 2020. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of this student.
We will continue to work closely with our local health department on this matter and all departments within our district. All of our campuses at Mineola ISD continue to be cleaned daily and additional cleaning is provided to all classrooms in which an employee or student has been if a lab-confirmed positive test is received.

Good morning everyone! The Mineola ISD District Site Based Team will be meeting on Tuesday, October 6th at 4:30 p.m. in the District Administration Building. If you or someone you know are interested in serving, please email Mr. Cody Mize at mizec@mineolaisd.net.
The District Site Based Committee is a committee made up of District and Campus level administrators, teachers, parents, business representatives, and community members. The role of the committee is to review and discuss the district's academic goals, receive an update from the superintendent about events taking place in the district, and offer feedback for district improvement.
