MPS - Monday, February 7 is listed as a virtual learning day on our district calendar, but CHANGE of PLANS we will instead have in person learning this day for half a day. Students will attend school in person until 12:00 (early release day), then staff will facilitate student led conferences beginning at 12:30. Your student's homeroom teacher will be contacting you to set up a conference. This conference is crucial to knowing your student's middle of the year data, goals, and the expectations for the remainder of the school year.
Please call or email Mrs. Ray, Mr. Knabenshue, or your student's classroom teacher with any questions!

During Operation Blue Santa, local law enforcement agencies raised over $10,000 to buy gifts for children in need this Christmas Season. This is service to others, above and beyond! We appreciate you!

MPS - 12/17 is Early Release Christmas Party Day! We will dismiss car riders at 12:00 and buses around 12:30.
Some tips for parties:
1. Arrive early with your identification to check into the office. ✔️
2. Check with homeroom teacher for party times, you may sign your student out with their teacher after the party. This will not count against their leave early for attendance party. ✔️
3. Please refrain from parking in the drive lane, reserved spot for MEF, and handicap spots (unless you have visible handicap tags). The parking lot will be full, so be careful. ✔️
4. Bring your holiday spirit ready for a fun Christmas party full of love, friendship, and gratefulness. ✔️

MPS - Thursday, December 16 is our Ugly Christmas Sweater/Shirt/Outfit Day! We will Facebook Live our parade of outfits at 8:30, so stay tuned. Prizes given to 1st-3rd places for the students! ❤️🎄💚
MPS - Wednesday, December 15 is pajama day! Students are invited to wears school friendly pajamas for a fun filled day! *please make sure pajamas are PE/recess/restroom friendly*
MPS - Literacy Partner training is tomorrow, 12/13-not 12/12 (which is today).
MPS - Literacy Partner training 12/12 at 4:00 at MPS! Come find out about becoming a literacy partner and how 30 minutes a week can improve the development of reading with students.
MPS - Change of Plans for Friday, December 17 - We will have early release, lunch around 12:00 and dismissal to follow around 12:30. Party times to be announced soon!

MPS - Caring and Sharing Canned Food Drive has kicked off and will run until December 3! Clean out those pantries or pick up some necessities for your Little Jacket to donate. There’s a pizza party to win, so game on!

Thanksgiving Feast tomorrow, the 16th, during lunch times. Visitors are allowed for lunch tomorrow and may bring outside food. Arrive early and have your driver’s license for easy check in.

MPS - Reminder that tomorrow, October 29, parents are welcome to walk with us at Fitness Friday.

Also, parents are welcome for lunch with their student. Per our handbook, only bring food for your student. We have set up a place for parents to eat with their student.
Tomorrow night is our first Strong Fathers Dad and Kid Reading night. BYODinner begins at 6:00 and program begins at 6:30. See you there!
MPS - With the excitement of homecoming coming to a close, it’s time to think about Red Ribbon Week! This week MPS will focus on Red Ribbon Week and being Drug Free. If your student has some red in their wardrobe we invite them wear it sometime this week as a sign of Drug Free Awareness!
MPS - Homecoming Pep Rally tomorrow! Our students will leave through the front of the building and head to the stadium around 8:40. Parents are welcome to join us at the stadium and may meet us in front of our building to walk with us. It's ORANGE OUT, so wear all of your orange!
