HELLO THERE! I'M SETH....

I was born in Tyler, Texas and lived in Lindale, Texas, where I attended primary & elementary school. After completing 3rd grade, my family relocated to Hillsboro, a small interstate town in Central Texas located on I-35 north of Waco. I continued my education at Hillsboro ISD, where I was actively involved in sports, theater, and FFA. During the Christmas break of my junior year, my family moved back to East Texas, and I graduated from Hawkins ISD in Hawkins, Texas, in 2008.

I hold an associate’s degree in history from Tyler Junior College and completed the Texas Basic Peace Officer Course (Police Academy) at Kilgore College, graduating as the class valedictorian. Since 2009, my professional career has been deeply rooted in high-threat environments, starting with my military service in the U.S. Marine Corps. & U.S. Army. I am currently serving with the Mineola ISD Police Department as a certified Peace Officer, TCOLE Basic Instructor, & TCOLE Firearms Instructor. Additionally, I serve as the MISD School Guardian Program Director, Primary Marksmanship Instructor, and Training Curriculum Developer for my team.

My professional experience spans ongoing development as both a student and an instructor in various disciplines, including fieldcraft, small arms, small unit tactics, precision rifle, carbine, & pistol marksmanship, sniper doctrine, close quarters battle, use of force, de-escalation, hand-to-hand combative martial arts, behavioral health threat assessment, TCCC care under fire, & Stop The Bleed among others. Since June 2021, I have been consistently instructing and participating in Guardian certification courses and immediate response-focused active shooter trainings & starting in 2022 dedicated to developing the MISD School Guardian Program.

I train along side and instruct our MISD School Guardians weekly in important skills including marksmanship, tactics, tactical medicine, interagency response, de-escalation, communications, and interactions with law enforcement to name a few. I have been teaching armed response tactics, precision marksmanship, combative martial arts, arrest and control techniques, de-escalation, and many other skills professionally in the U.S. Military, Law Enforcement, and Private Security sectors since 2010. Annually, I conduct safety training for all Mineola Independent School District staff and am certified by the American College of Surgeons to provide Stop The Bleed training and by Texas State University (ALERRT) to teach Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events.

Most importantly, I am a devout believer in Jesus Christ. I believe God places a calling on his believers hearts and propels them to serve him in many different ways. It is my honor to serve the Lord by protecting the students and staff of MISD and I praise Him and thank Him daily for the privilege to serve in this way!

Then I heard the voice of the lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said,

"Here am I. Send ME!" ~ Isaiah 6:8
