Mineola Elementary School
Let me be the first to Welcome you to Mineola Elementary School. Although our MISSION is to educate the little ones for a BIGGER and BRIGHTER tomorrow - we know that there is nothing little about their HEARTS, their MINDS or their DREAMS!
At MES, we focus on building relationships with each learner so that we may design a personalized learning experience for each child. We strive to build learning experiences that equip students not only for the challenges of the classroom; but for the service of our community and the betterment our world. BOTTOMLINE - The “little kid” business is a BIG DEAL!!
At MES, we ask our learners to commit to three things. As school principal, you will hear me refer to them as the 3R’s or our Jackets Motto. We will expect all students to be Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn. As we start our school year together, teachers and students will be working together to define what those 3 R’s look like and sound like in all areas of our school. We will model, practice and perfect these 3 expectations throughout the year ; because as research shows, they have the biggest impact on future success. And because this is all part of the learning process, sometimes we will have to respond just like the words on the shampoo bottle and “rinse and repeat”. Again, it’s all part of the journey - so it’s okay! In addition to our practice, we will CELEBRATE & positively reinforce those characteristics as we see them displayed on campus. After all - What gets recognized gets repeated!!
We are excited about the opportunities that we have here at Mineola Elementary School, and we welcome you to join us in our JOURNEY!
